Coming from the jungle of Golmore, Ranni Golmore was guarding village when the Garlean Empire invaded. Helping repel the invasion, she realized that some of fellow guards had been taken. To do what she could to help her people she voluntarily took exile and eventually ended up in Ishgard where she become the body guard of the daughter of House Fortemps, and took up a lance to begin learning how Ishgardian Dragoons fought. Eventually becoming friends with the girl she was guarding and eventually took her out to teach the girl how to be an adventurer. Until the 7th Umbral Calamity.
A Realm Reborn
Five years later, Ranni and the girl Selica now travel the the realm of Eorzea, eventually joining up with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Selica being named the Warrior of Light by Miniflia. Ranni found out she too had Hydaelyn's blessing during the fight with Ifrit. Eventually Ranni gained enough influence to start a Free Company with the backing of the Twin Adders after the fall of the Black Wolf. It was there she met a Duskwright named Keres Sheaugeaux shortly before having to flee to the city state of Ishgard.
Heavensward
Returning to the now frozen city of Ishgard, Ranni now a full fledged Dragoon on par with the Azure Dragoon continued to protect her charge. Meanwhile Keres continued to test Ranni's ability to lead a Free Company while they were on the run. During the final battle with Archbishop Thordan and the Heavensward, Ranni became more attuned to the eye of Nidhogg. When Estinien become possessed with the eyes of Nidhogg, the excess Aether affected Ranni who was nearly possessed with Nidhogg before Estinien interviened, now had a red eye and become more and more aggressive and angry. So to help keep the peace, Ranni began training as a Dark Knight until the time to move to Gyr Abania to once again fight the Empire.
Stormblood
Now growing more attatched to Keres, Ranni began training in the Gyr Abanian style of combat of the Monks to try and bring balance to her own Aether and emotions. Growing a sibling like bond in the process with a fellow Rava named Bubu. During the party's stay in Kugane, Ranni and Keres began a romantic relationship. Eventually after defeating the Garlean prince Zenos and the Primal Shinryu. Ranni's body began growing scales similar to an Au Ra's. In the after math of battle, Ranni proposes to Keres. Two years later, due to excess Aether and a magical misshap, Ranni and Keres ended up having an almost Au Ra and Elezen girl named Setanta. Then... their souls where sent to the first.
